According to the Sources New Mafia 4 is being developed by
Hangar 13 on Unreal Engine 5 and will be release on this year 2022
Although 2K Games and Hangar 13 have yet to confirm the
development of a new Mafia 4, Kotaku reports that work on the game has already
begun.
The recent revelation of Hangar 13's founder's resignation
was not followed with details about the new Mafia; instead, 2K Games stated
that the new management was trusted to concentrate on numerous unfinished
projects.
However, according to Kotaku, Hayden Blackman's exit from
the video game industry to pursue new goals coincides with the start of
development on the new Mafia 4. Hayden is leaving when the new Mafia is in its
early stages, according to Kotaku's sources, but they didn't indicate what to
expect from the project. Instead of the Mafia III engine, which was recently
used for remasters, Unreal Engine 5 will be used. The game will most likely
serve as a prequel to the original Mafia IV trilogy.
Hangar 13 is made up of three teams, with Nick Baines taking
over as captain after leading the club in Brighton. Baines is a writer.
